Common questions about how Satispay investment funds work

How do I start investing?
It's easier done than said. Just follow these simple steps: Open the Investments section: you'll find it directly on the main screen of your Satispay app. If you don't have the app yet, now is a great time to download it! Discover the funds and choose: explore the characteristics of the three funds (Bonds, Balanced and Global Equity) to understand which one best matches your goals and your risk appetite. You can also choose more than one fund. Decide the amount: choose how much you want to invest, with no minimum amount. Set up a recurring transfer (optional): if you wish, you can decide to automatically invest an amount every day, week or month. That's it. See? No need to be a wolf of Wall Street!
How are taxes handled on my investments?
We take care of everything! Taxes are automatically calculated and paid when you decide to withdraw your money. So you don't have to worry about anything. Remember that taxation depends on your personal situation and may change in the future.
Are my investments safe?
The assets the funds invest in are held by a depositary bank, a third party that keeps them separate from the assets of both Satispay and the fund manager. So, even in the remote event that the fund manager or Satispay were to face solvency issues, the assets the fund invests in would be protected from the creditors of the fund manager or of Satispay.
Are there any fees?
There is no activation fee and no fee for buying or selling fund units. Satispay applies an annual fee of 0.55%. The 3 funds have an estimated total fee, which includes both the Satispay fee and the fund management fee, equal to: 0.90% per year for Bonds 0.99% per year for Balanced 1.02% per year for Global Equity. For more information, please see the dedicated costs page.
Do these funds distribute income?
No, our funds do not distribute their income to investors; they automatically reinvest it. That's because they are so-called "accumulating" funds. This continuous reinvestment of returns creates a compound interest mechanism: gains remain inside the fund and in turn generate new gains. In simple terms, you can earn not only on the capital you have paid in, but also on the gains accumulated over time thanks to the fund's automatically reinvested income. It's an effect that amplifies over time, which is why it's a powerful ally for your goals.
Who manages the funds offered by Satispay?
Our funds are built and managed by professionals at Invesco, one of the largest asset management companies in the world, managing over $2 trillion. This gives you access to a professional investment strategy without having to deal with the complexity of the markets.
Can I withdraw my invested capital whenever I want?
Absolutely yes. You can disinvest and withdraw your money at any time, with no costs or penalties. The amount will be available in your Satispay Balance within four business days.
How much do I need to invest to start?
There is no minimum amount! You can start with just a few euros and build your confidence over time, with no entry barriers.
Can I invest in more than one fund at the same time?
Yes, of course: you decide how to allocate your savings across several funds, for example to pursue different goals with different expected returns and risk profiles. You have full freedom to build the strategy you prefer.
What is a recurring transfer for and how does it work?
It's the automatic investment feature that lets you invest a fixed amount at regular intervals (every day, every week or every month). It's a very powerful tool for two reasons: • It builds a habit: it helps you invest consistently and at your own pace, without having to remember to make a payment. • It mitigates risk: by regularly investing the same amount on set dates, you buy more units when prices are low and fewer when they are high. This mitigates the effects of market fluctuations and helps you maximise the returns on your investment. And setting up a recurring transfer plan costs nothing!
What is the stamp duty on Investments with Satispay and how is it handled?
Stamp duty is a tax provided for by current legislation that applies to financial products. It currently amounts to 0.20% per year and is calculated on the value of your investment as of 31 December of each year. The good news is that you don't have to worry about calculations or payments: we take care of everything! The amount due is automatically deducted from your Satispay Balance once a year, generally in January with reference to the previous year. Just make sure you have sufficient funds in your Balance during that period.
